How do I start with the services?
To avail our services, simply connect with Nurturers at 8920810636. According to the availability of our therapists, we will schedule an appointment for you.
What can I expect from therapy?
Our process starts with an initial evaluation. After evaluating your child completely, the prescribed therapist for your child will sit with you and talk about the necessary activities that will help in holistic development of your child. According to your session with the therapist, you will be given an intervention plan which includes the number of sessions necessary for the enrichment of your child. After a few sessions you will be provided with a home plan for the child to reach to his/her maximum potential in an optimal time. The home plan shared must be followed.

How often will my child have to come to therapy?
After the proper assessment of your child, our therapist will inform you about the number of sessions your child requires.
How long will my child need special education/counselling/speech and occupational therapies?
The total time span for services varies widely from child to child. You need to stay in proper touch with the assigned educator or therapist to understand how many sessions your child requires to attend.
What should I tell my child before their first visit?
We understand that your child might be nervous when coming to a completely new environment. Kindly talk to your child and ensure him/her that Nurturers is a fun filled learning place. Help your child understand that the therapist is just like a friend who is going to help him/her learn and explore new things. It is important for us that you and your child should have faith in our institution.
What is my role during the evaluation?
Your assigned therapist might ask you questions related to your child’s medical history, development and areas of concern. During the evaluation process, you will be called if necessary. Additionally, there might be a requirement to fill out some standardized parent questionnaires.
How Do I Talk to My Child About His or Her Therapy Session?
You should understand that every child needs his/her space. Never pressurize your child to talk about their sessions. Our trained experts will collaborate with you and discuss all the details about the session, so that you know how our lessons are helping in the holistic development of your child. We, as an organization, give your child full privacy in order to allow self-expression. You must understand that each child has a different pace and progress takes time.
Can a tutoring center help with dyslexia/dysgraphia/dyscalculia/?
If your child needs assistance with issues that arise from the mentioned learning difficulties, then a special educator will be able to guide and work with the child in a better way as they are trained to do so. Tutors may not be able to understand your child’s challenges. Since they wouldn’t be able to understand the challenges, they won’t be able to get the best out of him/her.
What is an Individualized Education Program?
We have a written document of an educational program tailored to meet a child’s individual needs. The document is referred to as Individualized Education Program (IEP). Every child who receives special education services must have an IEP. The IEP assists teachers, parents, school administrators, related services personnel, and students (when appropriate) to work as a unit and improve educational results for children with special needs.
Can disorders be cured?
You must understand that disorders cannot be cured completely. What we can do is manage and improve your child’s development and understanding with various intervention and constant support from both family and school. What will happen during the occupational therapy evaluation?
The Occupational Therapist will generate a record of your child’s medical history and developmental milestones (rolling, sitting, walking etc) by obtaining all the necessary information from you. Our therapist might also ask you certain questions about how your child responds to sensory information. Also, as a part of the session, our experts will evaluate your child’s motor skills including, mobility in your child’s joints, posture, muscle strength, gross and fine motor skills. During the session, the therapists will also review the relationship between your child’s skill level, limitations, if any, and functional abilities. The final evaluation will be made after assessments, questionnaires and your observations.
